fall be kind

This past weekend Maurice and I went to Vermont to his family's cabins. It was peak Autumn foliage time. The leaves were all changing to beautiful fall colors. Fall is my favorite season because of all the perfect earthy colors. The lake behind the cabins was also so scenic. Maurice took me on a canoe. It was dangerous for me since I can't swim, but we managed and were successful!

We canoed to a little island that was closed off. Oops. It was fun and standing there in the middle of the lake was amazing.

Silly pictures of Maurice coming up while we were waiting to shoot guns. GUNS! I was so out of my element.

Maurice took me shooting! The worst part of all of this is that I was concerned about what I should be wearing. This was the first time I have ever even touched a gun. It was scary at first. I couldn't even hold still, but I still managed to hit the target! Go me! I had fun. Maurice was also shooting this intense sniper rifle thing. Eeeek. It was loud and scary. The target below was his. Also, the gun is NOT loaded in the picture of the both of us posing (just saying).

We went into the town of Stowe and had lunch and I got a massage. The town was so small that I think we were continuously passing the same things like three or four times. We also took a bunch of film photos. We're going to develop them and I can't wait to load them on here! It was a really relaxing weekend. I am so happy that Maurice took me. He's the best!

So we left the trees behind and we're back in New York. BUT I do have some news!! So before my trip, I was offered a promotion and I decided to take it. It's going to be more work and I'm concerned about taking on more at work and trying to apply to schools at the same time, but I think that it'll be okay if I can just schedule myself better. Well, wish me luck!

xoxo
