American Apparel riding pants and fisherman sweater and cotton nail polish, Uniqlo men's socks and oxford shirt, H&M blazer, Random from Japan boots
Today was definitely the coldest day this winter, in the low 20s. Thank gawd that we do not have snow yet though. I've read that the midwest had a blizzard of sorts (I hope you guys are keeping warm)! As it gets colder, the layers multiply. Today I had a pair of heat-tech tights from Uniqlo on underneath my AA riding pants. Those heat-tech items from Uniqlo really do work well. I'd definitely recommend them for this cold winter. My new AA sweater is so warm. I've worn it so much to work. Also, did you notice how messy my room is? I tried to clean it in one of my pictures (so obvious, haha).
There are some visitors coming here soon. I'm pretty excited to see everyone and take a break from work. A break is actually only 3 days (one including Christmas), but I will take whatever I can get! I'm excited for my parents to come because I want my mother to cook for me. *droool** Can you believe that there are only 10 days left until Christmas?! Crazy.
I've decided to send cookie to some of my friends for the holidays. I really hope that this doesn't ruin the surprise for my friends who read this blog. I love baking cookies because I love eating them afterward. I've been pondering what types of cookies I wanted to make, and I think that I made the best variety. I've been browsing and going through many recipe books (we have an overload of cookbooks here in the apartment), but I found most of my recipes from Smitten Kitchen. She had adapted every recipe, from Martha to Ina. It was a perfect discovery! I've added some fruitiness with my Key Lime Meltaways, the classic Chocolate Chip cookie, something salty with my Crisp Salted Oatmeal White Chocolate cookie, and something festive with the Chocolate Peppermint Pinwheel cookies. I hope that everyone will enjoy these and they taste super yummy. Click on the cookies for the recipes!
